Buffalo Sabres President Ted Black to Speak at Buffalo Rotary
Public is invited to meet and greet on September 22
The public is invited to meet and ask questions of Ted Black, President
of the Buffalo Sabres, on September 22 from 12:30 p.m.-1:30 p.m. at Templeton Landing (2 Templeton Terrace, Buffalo). Black oversees all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the franchise and believes listening to fans is the foundation of any successful business. He will present his “Outlook for the Buffalo Sabres” as the guest speaker of Rotary Club of Buffalo’s weekly luncheon series.

“I look forward to speaking at Buffalo Rotary and invite the fans to join in the conversation as we work to bring the Stanley Cup to Buffalo,” said Black. “No city deserves it more, no city will cherish it more and no city will celebrate it more.”

Over the last decade, Black has compiled a track record of success and experience that few sports executives can match. He is an accomplished leader who was enlisted in late 2010 to guide the transaction negotiations, due diligence and NHL approval process for Terry Pegula’s purchase of the Buffalo Sabres. Previously, Black contributed to and presided over unprecedented growth with both the Pittsburgh Penguins and FSN Pittsburgh.
He served as Senior Vice President and General Manager of FSN Pittsburgh, a regional sports television network that produced and telecast more than 220 live pro events and 1,500 hours of programming per year. Prior to his tenure at FSN, Black was a member of Mario Lemieux’s senior management team. He served as Vice President
of the Pittsburgh Penguins from 1999 to 2008.

The event is $20 and includes a buffet lunch. Reservations are recommended and can be made by calling Rotary Club of Buffalo at 716-854-3397. Funds raised at the weekly luncheon series help support The Buffalo Rotary Foundation. Attendees are encouraged to become a member of Rotary Club of Buffalo.

Media interviews can be arranged prior to or after the event. To arrange an interview or for questions about this release, please contact Marian Hetherly at 716-308-9649 or hetherlym@gmail.com.
